Question:What Is Involved in the Actual Treatment?

Answer:When a patient comes in for a hair transplant, he or she is sedated and a local anesthetic is injected into the back of the scalp where the doctor will harvest a donor site (a strip of skin where hair growth is still prominent). This donor site is divided into hundreds of individual follicles, which are then inserted one by one into the designated treatment area. Depending on the severity of hair loss, 2-3 sessions may be required.

Question:Immediately Following Treatment

Answer:Generally, there is minimal pain associated with this procedure. The patient will have a bulky head dressing around the treatment area for up to three days. These dressings must be kept dry until the patient returns to the office. Restrictions include no heavy lifting and no activities that increase the heart rate for up to two weeks. Patients are asked to wear a hat indoors for two weeks, and up to four weeks outdoors. Dr. Clavijo also has a specific protocol of prescription products for hair care after treatment. This can include Progaine shampoo and Rogaine topical treatments.

Question:Which Care after Your Treatment?

Answer:Typically, 95 percent of grafts take, but sometimes it may take up to two to three sessions to get the desired density and coverage you are looking for. The results of treatment depend on the patient’s natural hair growth cycle; the growth cycle begins the first month and the hair then enters a rest phase at two to four months. At four to six months, the new growth begins. At the one-year mark, the patient may schedule the next phase of the transplant.

Question: when can I expect hair?

Answer: as described above the transplanted hair shaft goes away in 15 – 20 days with roots surviving in scalp. The growth of new transplanted hair will be earliest y three month. It increases in 6-8 months. Final result can be judged after one year.

Question: should I get my all hair removed?

Answer: not necessarily. It depends on method you at donor site.recipient site for easy procedure for density creation.

Question : what is FUT and FUE?

Answer: in FUT strip is harvested from donor site. In FUE single hair is isolated from
Scalp with drill. Both methods gives good and equivalent results.
